Aluminium Sulphate. Size: 25kg
Coagulates fine particles which make pool water cloudy. Filtration aid. Rapid release onto filter bed.
IMPORTANT NOTE: MOST CASES OF CLOUDY POOL WATER ARE DUE TO SANITISER FAILURE, BECAUSE THE SANITISER LEVEL IS TOO LOW, OR BECAUSE THE pH IS OUTSIDE THE NORMAL RANGE (7.2 - 7.6). ALWAYS CHECK AND ADJUST pH AND SANITISER LEVELS BEFORE USING GRANULAR FLOCCULANT. IF THE CLOUDINESS PERSISTS AFTER THE pH AND SANITISER LEVELS HAVE BEEN IN THE NORMAL RANGE FOR AT LEAST 24 HOURS, IT IS WORTH DOSING WITH GRANULAR FLOCCULANT.
Add 2kg EasyChemicals Flocculant Granules per 100 cubic metres of pool water (30 ounces per 10,000 gallons).
Check the pH of the pool water and adjust this to an ideal pH of 7.5 or between pH 7.2 and 7.6 by use of the recommended pH adjustment chemicals. Then backwash the filter to clean. Add the required dose of EasyChemicals Flocculant Granules into 10 litres of fresh water using a clean plastic container, and mix carefully. Slowly add the solution into the pool water near the return inlets and rinse out container thoroughly after use. Repeat this mix application until the right quantity for the pool has been used in total. Alternatively, place EasyChemicals Flocculant Granules into your pool skimmer(s) in 200g quantities, until the right quantity for the pool has been used in total. When the solution has been distributed throughout the pool water, turn off the circulation pump for a few hours. EasyChemicals Flocculant Granules will gather suspended particles and settle onto the pool floor. You may see a heavy silt or sediment. Restart the circulation pump and vacuum the floc and gathered debris to waste. DO NOT ALLOW THIS SEDIMENT MATERIAL TO BUILD UP IN YOUR FILTER MEDIUM, OR IT MAY OVERLOAD THE FILTER WHICH MAY, IN TURN, SIMPLY RETURN THE SEDIMENT TO YOUR POOL. Check and re-adjust the pH to around 7.5 and Free Chlorine to not less than 2.0 ppm.
NOTE: FOR USE WITH SAND FILTER SYSTEMS ONLY. NOT TO BE USED WITH CARTRIDGE OR DIATOMACEOUS EARTH FILTERS.
