Medium chain (C14-C17) chlorinated paraffin-based plasticizer as well as a flame retardant. It avoids embitterment of films, it is insoluble in water and glycerine, soluble in many organic solvents, slightly soluble in aromatic hydrocarbons, aliphatic hydrocarbons, ketones, esters, vegetable, and animal oils. Miscible with benzene, chloroform, ether, carbon tetrachloride. Chemically inert and non-corrosive, practically non-volatile, non-flammable and imparts flame-resistant properties.
