Is this ascorbic acid food grade?

Yes. BP/USP grade meets and exceeds food-grade purity requirements, so it is suitable for food, beverage and supplement use.

How much ascorbic acid do I need to dechlorinate water?

Roughly 2.5 parts ascorbic acid per part chlorine; in practice about 10g treats 1,000 litres of typical mains water. It acts within seconds.

What is the shelf life?

Unopened bags keep for at least three years stored cool and dry. Once opened, reseal tightly and use within twelve months for best potency.
