It also has a pungent odour, in the presence of light nitrogen oxide forms. Which can cause product to yellow in colour. It violently reacts when in contact with readily oxidizable or combustible materials, such as turpentine, alcohols, charcoal & organic material. When it contact with most metals, it reacts to give off a hydrogen gas. A list of its uses includes, fertilizers, dye intermediates and other organic chemicals. It can be used in stains removers or combat the discolouration of fabrics, including colour safe bleaches, used in laundry.
