Sodium Disilicate is hydrated and completely soluble in water, it is a versatile product that shows excellent buffering capacity. Along with effective corrosion inhibition, good bleach stabilizing- and binding properties. The product is made from sand and soda and recognized as environmentally safe. Our sodium disilicate is particularly suitable for use in dry-mix products and where less water is desired. Sodium Disilicate contains both silica and alkalinity in a molar ratio of 2:1 between silica and sodium oxide. In addition, as it is hydrated it contains 18% of water which improves it’s solubility.
